Torey and Patrick’s Alexandria Ballrooms wedding was absolutely stunning and one of my favourites yet! They both have hearts of gold and the wedding was a long time coming since they had been together for over *11* years before Patrick proposed on the top of the Rockefeller centre in New York City! I have a special place in my heart for that since they met in high school (like Kyle and I!) and I totally get how amazing it is to grow up with your best friend and lover.
Torey’s vision for her wedding was just to have the best day ever filled with lots of love and emotion! Their wedding had been pushed back since both Torey and Patrick lost loved ones and they went through a health scare. But as Torey said in her initial inquiry to me, “as horrible as all these were we have been very blessed and worked together as a team to get through them and I truly believe it was God’s way to bring us to a deeper connection and I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else. We know we are spending the rest of our lives together so we want this day to be perfect no matter how long we have to wait!”
Their wedding was the epitome of refined, timeless elegance and she chose neutral colours that blended in so perfectly with Alexandria Ballrooms. After an amazing church ceremony, we headed back to their venue and got some of gorgeous indoor photos before the party really started!
Some of my favourite moments of the day include Torey praying with her mom + best friends (if you look closely, you can see an unexplained light streak over her mom’s hand which I just FEEL is her dad’s presence), their walk back down the aisle after officially coming husband and wife, and their romantic portraits! So many moments that I know they’ll cherish forever :).
