I was beyond excited when Steffanie and Melvin told me they wanted Greystone Mansion engagement photos! If you’re not familiar with the property, Greystone Mansion is the most gorgeous estate located in Beverly Hills.
It actually has a super unique and interesting history. It was built in 1928 by an old tycoon a a gift to his son. At the time it was finished, it was the most expensive house (it has 55 rooms!) ever built in California at 4 million dollars. Just four months after the son moved in with his family, though, he died in a suicide-murder mystery. Since then, it’s been used as a major backdrop for movies and photo shoots (like this one!).
So yes! This property is gorgeous and a little slice of Europe in Los Angeles. But, can we talk about Steffanie and Melvin for a quick sec? Not only are they the most gorgeous couple, but their outfits fit in so perfectly with the property and I’m pretty sure I’m going to stalk Steff’s dress so I can buy it for myself.
The two of them met growing up as kids at their church. Steff would hangout with his sister and he would spend time with her brothers, never dating until later on. Flash forward 15 years (yes, you read that right!) and Melvin proposed to her using Russian nesting dolls that were different pets throughout their life together and her engagement ring was in the smallest one. I absolutely LOVE how unique and special that proposal idea is and wish I was that creative haha!
Their vision for their wedding at Quail Ranch (one of my favourite venues!) is a relaxed day spent celebrating with their friends and family After all these years, they will finally be MARRIED!
Enjoy their Greystone Mansion engagement photos! I absolutely loved this entire session and can’t with for the wedding day! 🙂
